Rotoworld :

"49ers released WR Stevie Johnson. Johnson refused to accept a pay cut, ending his stint in San Francisco after one season. ... A crisp route runner, Johnson had three straight 1000-yard receiving seasons under new Jets OC Chan Gailey while the pair were in Buffalo. He should find a healthy market as a solid possession receiver. ... [Johnson was a nice possession receiver] but the 49ers desperately needed a field stretcher out wide [instead]."

If you look at them and their careers theyre mostly the same so I dont know that it really matters ultimately. Theyre pretty similar.

Crabtree is just a little more dynamic I think and is a little bit younger.

That was pre injury though for Crabtree. Pre injury Crabtree I would be all on board. Look at the numbers for Achilles injuries. It would be a risk although his price might drop because of it.

This! Gman plays not to lose when it comes to Free Agency and doesn't play to win.

I really can't tell if you're a troll or an idiot...

By not going after and overpaying "top end" FA's, Gettleman has put us in the playoffs back to back years for the first time in team history... with no money... so it's not like he COULD have signed anyone to begin with...

I guess this might be the "quick" that they are referring to. :(

Bottom line is the Bills used the 9th, 19th, and 46th picks to

upgrade from Stevie Johnson and CJ Spiller to Sammy

Watkins and LeSean McCoy.

They'd have been better off with Stevie Johnson, CJ Spiller and the 9th, 19th and 46th picks.

Come on, last season we got EXTREMELY lucky winning the NFCs at 7-8-1, people on here A. Think thats a good thing and B. They give Gettleman the credit for something that was complete luck and will NOT happen again.
