I don't understand why people are getting fired up about the WRs in MARCH--before free agency begins.  I understand that we have had 3 years of very frustrating free agency periods, but this year is a bit different.  I am not certain that we add a WR in free agency, but if we don't, I expect a good one in the draft.

A #2 WR will make everyone else better.   If that is the extent of our upgrades, then I am on board.

Someone mentioned Strong.  OK.  What is wrong with Benjamin, Strong, Olsen, Brown/Ginn/Cotchery?

Sure there will be, but IMO there's a pretty steep drop off after the first 4 WRs (Cooper, White, Parker, and Strong) down to the next tier.  I think all four of those guys are pretty damn close to being sure things.  There's no such thing as a slam dunk sure thing in the NFL draft, but I think those four come pretty close.

in context of what we have now there is opportunity but for sure you are right about the top 4.That's why I take issue with what happened in the last draft neglecting to address either OT  or wr fully. Now we still have an issue with both positions.

Really don't get that whole argument though. You have to put into consideration the guys he was going up against. Marcus Peters, Alex Carter, Eric Rowe, etc and those DB's in the Pac12 are No Slouch athletes that I don't think any WR in this draft (Cooper and White included) would run circles and make them look Silly.

Loved his TD against Peters, like I said though, he's a tough one to figure out for me. I wouldn't be mad with the pick if he was it, I'd just be a little worried. But you're totally right about his competition though, throw Steven Nelson in there too

We are far from OK...we do not have a game breaker.  Adding Ginn is nice, but that alone will not cut it.  Bersin shouldn't be an option (unless he improves).  As of now we have 1 WR1/2 (KB), 1 WR 3 (Brown), and a bunch of WR5 (Cotch, Bersin, Ginn, etc.).  We need a solid WR2 who is a threat on every single down and can stretch the field.

That's a good corp.

KB looks like a legit 1 in the making, though you definitely want to pair him with a speedier guy on the other side.

I'm higher on Cotchery than most, but ideally he's no more than a 3rd receiver for you. Scary we signed him to be our number 1 last year, but thankfully Benji came through for us. At his peak Cotch was a solid 2, but this is 2015.

Conversely, I'm a little lower on Philly than most. Loved his contributions last year but I'm unsure he'll truly develop into the speedy 2 we need. Seems best as a 3rd/slot guy.

Thank God for Ginn. Even if his WR role is a bit redundant with that other speedy Buckeye I just mentioned, we desperately needed him for returns.

I like Bersin, but please never return a punt ever again. Good size, great hands, no speed. He's limited, but he moves the chains. Could do a lot worse for your 4th/5th guy.

Everyone else (Hill, Presley, Lucas, Mike Brown) strikes me as camp bodies, though they could always surprise. The Hill Chronicles are always fun, but you can't deny the measurables.

Basically I'm saying we really need a 2. My heart wanted Torrey Smith but my head knew that wouldn't happen. Best bet is someone like Strong in the draft, but I kinda doubt he'll be available.

And you want AJ to feel comfortable with our wr position? That dudes wheels are going to fall off soon and fast. We are going young.

Dude I've not read one post saying ginn is the answer, maybe I missed it. We are going to get our talent in the draft and shore up competition with FA. I think we have like 8 picks this year. DG has been money in the draft. Calm down.

Ha I'm the furthest thing from being worked up, I'm just saying.

People probably thought the same thing about Boldin when he was traded to SF, look what he's been for Kaep. AJ has put up solid numbers with garbage at the QB position, I think he could come here and still have 2-3 real good season. You also can't expect another rookie to come in and have the type of season KB had, it'd be nice to get someone like AJ so we can ease the rookie in (assuming we take one).

I'd agree we're not OK, but calling all those guys WR5's is a bit of an overstatement.

Its like saying that if you don't beat your man by 20 yards + your not a good athlete.  Even though those guys you are beating are top tier of the draft db's running 4.4's/ low 4.5's.

While said other guys who are beating worse DB's running 4.6's + range are superior athletes because their game film has them blowing by said slow footed defenders.

The whole argument of him not looking fast or athletic on film is just silly.

Wonder if those same people would say Megatron or Dez Bryant don't look athletic on film of them going against Patrick Peterson?
