It's kind of like when I was 14.  I ate a bog block of gov'ment cheese.  Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but a couple of days later, after trying Castoria and not getting the intended results, I considered getting some castor oil, Karo Syryp, etc., but I wanted immediate relief.  Though unpleasant I learned for the first and only time what an enema was.

General manager Trent Baalke strongly denied a report late Sunday night that the 49ers are seeking to trade quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

“Colin is our quarterback and we are excited to have him,” Baalke said in a statement. “He is not going anywhere. The media reports suggesting otherwise are without merit and, quite frankly, ridiculous.”

Jayson Braddock of KBME radio in Houston reported the 49ers have put Kaepernick on the trade block and they’re taking offers for the four-year veteran. The Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears have inquired about a trade, according to the report.

Kaepernick is the only quarterback the 49ers have on their roster. Blaine Gabbert, who served as the backup last season, and Josh Johnson are scheduled for free agency. The 49ers have shown interest in free-agent quarterback Brian Hoyer, a league source confirmed.

In June, the 49ers reached a $115 million contract extension with Kaepernick through the 2020 season. The deal included a $12.328 million signing bonus. Kaepernick is scheduled to make $12.8 million this season in salary and bonuses.

Back in January, 49ers CEO Jed York said quarterback Colin Kaepernick was an unbelievable player that the team needed to put in a better position to make plays. It looks like that position might be elsewhere.
