The colts don't have to do anything big in FA because they spend the rest of their resources in every way to surround their QB with talent/ a level of comfort.

 

After Luck was drafted, they got him his college roommate who is a TE in the very next pick, his college OC, and made sure they kept Wayne.

 

Those moves ALONE is more than the Panthers have done for Newton in 4 years.

 

Of course, It doesn't help when you have the #1 pick in each round in 2011 and screw the pooch on every pick after Cam.

Plus we traded away our 2nd rounder that year too.

 

This team has had massive holes to fill, all while being cap challenged. We've put 3 of our top 4 picks on the Dline the last 2 years. Hopefully the FO admission that we need more speed is a sign of them looking at playmakers in the draft to help the O.
