Chris Johnson shot in drive by.

I don't agree that he provoked it, but I do think that it isn't smart deicing in a bad neighborhood at 4 in the morning.

I agree with you...."provoking" is defintitely not the right word as we do not know why he was there.

I would say that his bad decisions "contributed" to the situation.....if you are not on that drug/prostitution riddled street at 4AM, he would not have been shot.

For what it's worth, he put himself in a situation where he could get shot. It doesn't matter really what the circumstances were, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time....by choice. To me, that's provoking it or at the very least asking for trouble.

I know that my opinion may not be popular and may be considered be naive and short sighted, but I call them like I see them sometimes and this is one of those times.

Understood.

But I don't think driving down the road and stopping at a light is really provoking anything, regardless of the time.

When you say "guy like Peyton Manning" please elaborate.

I figure this is just sarcasm of course.

However, Peyton is about to be 39 this month, he's a family man, and he is very careful with his image, as we see all the endorsements he makes untold millions off of each year. Then you have Chris Johnson who is 10 years younger than him, and seemingly is not very worried at all with his image. Johnson and Manning are at two different stages, one man is winding down, the other is still living his twenties. Sounds like Johnson needs very much to consider choosing a better circle of friends to surround himself with though. Odds are that the money he got early in his career isn't going to last very long at the rate he is going.

Well done, well done.

Yes it was sarcasm, but you pulled through.  Gotta keep ya guard up.
