That's right, for $20 you will get AMC and IFC along with ESPN cnn, tnt, cbs, hgtv, etc...

For those who have been asking about it, it streams fairly well. The app can be a little buggy on IOS. The best way to stream is Roku. Crystal clear HD for $20 a month, no contract.

I don't understand the fascination. 20 bucks a month for 16 channels (7 of which I wouldn't watch/never heard of), with additional tiers for 5 dollars more. Or 40 dollars a month for over 70 channels (28 of which I don't watch). or 50 bucks for over 200 channels.

I wish cable or satellite would offer an al-acarte.  I hate paying for 100 shopping channels when all I watch is network, espn, nflnetwork, and history.

Its up to media content providers which is why it may never happen.

A media company like Viacom owns Comedy Central, MTV, Nick etcso if you need Comedy Central only you have to get the MTVs that show zero music,Catfish marathons or mostly Bleeped modern hip hop videos along with Nick if you have kids or not.

More ad dollars charged if it is shown on more channels. So ala carte is not happening soon.

I did the 7 day free trial of Sling a few weeks ago and choose not to renew. I thought it would be awesome, but for some reason I just didn't use it as much as I expected.

To be fair, I only have Chromecast, so to get it on my tv I had to use mirroring, which of course eliminates use of my phone while watching. If I had a compatible streaming box it may have been a different story.

Sling is offering half off of Romulus when you prepay 3 months.

I may pull that this week and rock and roll.

Who do you have cable with? I have home phone, internet, and 1500 channels (including all HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Showtime, and The Movie Channel) for 170 a month.

Imagine if they had a tier a la carte package deal:

6 channels

12 channels

 

 

All I need is HBO, AMC, Nat Geo, Palladia, Food, and Travel
