Do you ever give advice when it isn't asked for?

 

My wife says I do.

I make it a habit to never give advice but don't seem to have a problem voicing my opinion on most matters.

I fall into this trap all the time.

 

 

Wife: I don't make enough money/I hate having to hang with these girls/I need a new car but hate shopping for them....etc.

 

Me: Real life answers that help the situation she is describing....

 

Wife: Why can't you just listen to me????

I dont give it outside of family, they usually need it whether they think they do or not though.  I've also been proved right more often then not with advice given.... actually I think I've been spot on all most the entire time so could say I give great advice.  

 

Unfortunately though, I rarely get good advice in turn, I literally could use some right now considering that I'm at a cross roads of sorts with some tough choices ahead, but I have no idea who to ask.  talked to my sister some about this but her suggestion while not entirely bad, isnt exactly feasible right now.

 

It's a strange quandary of sorts.
