Panthers Hoping To Sign Oher and Ginn Before Tuesday

give me one reason why I should be excited about Oher?  He was bad his last couple of years at Baltimore, and abysmal last year.  How is he an upgrade?

While I get what you're saying...he's not Bell. Or Chandler. So that in itself is a victory, albeit a small one.

He'll come in and be average at best I'm sure...but frankly it's the best we can hope for unless we draft a stud OT.

If we lose the race for Ginn and T. Smith, who's left?

Royal and a few other options are out there, plus a deep receiver draft.

Matsko connection and reports he wasn't healthy last season.

Same story as last year. The people we brought for a visit didn't sign so we settled for scraps.

We've only bought in one guy, and he's likely to sign.

And free agency hasn't even started yet.  Right now it's just cut players.

(I swear some fans here would have jumped into the ocean on their own hours before the Titanic even saw the iceberg)

Can someone please explain why we want Michael Oher?

Look in the post right above yours.

He'll likely come pretty cheap, he's still pretty young at 28, he's a pure talent upgrade over Byron Bell with high upside, and he's reuniting with his O-Line coach from his first few years in the NFL.  It's a low risk, possible high reward signing.  I still expect the Panthers to draft a potential LT but this could be a great stopgap move while they develop someone else.

Would love to have Ginn back. He gives us speed on offense and lets us check off the return man position in terms of our needs. I don't know about Oher. From what I have read and heard he was pretty bad at the end of his career in Baltimore and with Tennessee last year. Not that Getty is putting all his chips on Oher, I think he will definitely get a couple of  Tackles that can compete on the left side.

Oher had a rough year last year, but he'd be the most talented OT on our roster since Gross which granted ain't saying much.

Oher has been garbage for years. He's another Byron Bell. He's not even a good backup, but our options are slim in FA. Hope we just give him a 1 year deal for vet min as a backup to whoever we draft, then replace him with a better backup next FA

Thanks for reminding me. Need to buy more popcorn so I can watch the Huddle implode at 4:30pm Tuesday when no one is signed. Y'all are gonna be so entertaining.

No mock drafts from me after Tuesday, just plain mockery of the Chicken Littles
