Clausen's chances of success got significantly better when the Bears hired a WCO type OC (Gase).

 

Had Fox gone with a Coryell guy, Clausen would have been useless.

If you'd have told me at the end of 2010 that Jimmy would be getting a new contract going into his 6th season... lol

 

That said, he's actually improved quite a bit from that year.  It was starting to become evident in his last preseason here, and then the preseason with the Bears, and that one game he started (where he actually looked pretty decent).

 

As crazy as it is, he might be a better option that Cutler at this point.  I wonder what ol' Foxy thinks about that?
