Negotiating period begins tomorrow

I have followed, blead, sweated and cried for this team since day fugging 1. Don't fugging tell me I don't know the NFL or this team. I have forgotten more about this team then you will ever know. And no one is promised tomorrow. So whos to say that the world will even have football next year? I'm just saying we have been promised a Super Bowl for 20 years. Time to pay the fugging piper!

Yet somehow you missed our general manager warning us that this shitfest would take three years to clean up.

So people shouldnt be held accountable for the job they do just because they say ahead of time that theyre blaming it on the last guy? what lol??

No good team in the NFL has a vast expanse of finances at their disposal to work with. If they did, they wouldnt have a good team. the two generally are mutually exclusive

lots of cap=poor roster.

To think that Gettleman has done anything less than remarkable with what was left for him is, IMO, unfair.

He's made mistakes, like any other GM and to think that he would be perfect along the way is unreasonable.

He whiffed last year on the offensive line, poor communications and respect shown to Smitty, and he drafted Edmund Kugbila are his big 3 f*ck ups that come to mind immediately.  Not bad for two years.

I don't think he was blaming Hurney, but the magnitude of how horrible Hurney left this team is pretty incredible.  Gettleman isn't one of the greatest GMs of all time yet, but considering the tools he had to work with, he's done far better than most would.  His eye for draft gems and ability to shop on the clearance rack in FA takes a certain combination of balls, wisdom and luck.... and he has succeeded more than failed.

If he can continue to bring in starting caliber talent on day 3 of the draft and off the UDFA scrap heap, along with keeping this team financially flexible for future signings, we are arguably on the brink of consistency that this franchise hasn't seen since Polian.

there is a difference between being the jags and raiders and being the saints.

we want to be in between. draft well and be mindful and frugal when you spend money.

jags and raiders also draft terribly and no one wants to go to shitty teams which is another reason they have large amounts of cap space.
