"An NFC scout said Oklahoma right tackle Daryl Williams reminds him of former Sooner and Minnesota Vikings 2009 second-round pick (#54 overall) Phil Loadholt. "(Williams) is more agile and lighter on his feet, but his punch and force is similar to (Loadholt's)," the scout said.

The comparison fits. Williams can be a dominant run blocker and has really stepped up as a leader for the Oklahoma offensive line"

On January 14, 2014, ProFootballFocus.com recognized Loadholt as one of their highest-rated offensive tackles in the NFL, stating, "Stud: Right tackle Phil Loadholt (+25.0) earned All-Pro honors in our eyes. He didn’t get the press he garnered last year as the team struggled but he remains the prototypical right tackle."

2015 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

DARYL WILLIAMS, OT, OKLAHOMA

At 6-5-327, Williams obviously has NFL size, and he was able to use

it at the collegiate level to drive defenders of the line of scrimmage.

There were no real questions about his strength coming out of

college. However, some have questioned Williams' athleticism and

posited that he might end up at guard. But Williams somewhat

silenced those questions with an impressive performance at the

combine including an an impressive 1.75 10-yard split. If a team

thinks Williams has the athleticism to go with his size, he could

potentially be a late first round pick. For now the safer money is

probably on a second round selection.

Walter Football's Charlie Campbell notes on the Oklahoma offensive tackle duo of Tyrus Thompson and Daryl Williams going against the Clemson DL:

"Williams played better than Thompson...This duo is reminiscent of the Tennessee tandem of Antonio Richardson and Ja'Wuan James last year. Richardson got more publicity, but NFL teams felt James was the better prospect and selected him in the first round while Richardson fell undrafted because of a micro-fracture knee injury. I'm not saying that Thompson will go undrafted, but don't be surprised if Williams is selected first and is the better pro."

"Williams has potential to be a solid starting right or left tackle in the league... It’s not natural for guys with Williams’ size to be good athletes that can win in space. Normally a 6’6”, 330-pound frame will really inhibit an athlete’s ability to move and neutralize anything but power rushers, but Williams has good overall fluidity in his movements... moves rather well...can get to the second level well...excellent anchor ability... above average technician...neutralizes edge defenders well...a good pass blocker... Really moves defenders off the ball as a run defender...great length... a smart player...clearly an on-field leader for the team...most impressive part of Williams’ game is his ability to punch a pass rusher off their initial move and set his anchor to prevent a counter move"

Williams in 2009.

about the lack of attention/respect for Daryl Williams . High

note that all 5 of them did better than Luke Joeckel and Taylor Lewan (Peat also did better than Greg Robinson and Zach Martin). Also note that nobody did better on pass plays than Daryl Williams (95.54%), except one: Jake Matthews.
