Cam Newton is not a person of interest in club shooting!

Recommended Posts

Does this surprise anyone, still?        I mean.........  they did the same garbage when he got into his wreck.    A few media outlets implied that Cam "may" have been speeding, or drunk  or on drugs.....or was just driving dangerously in general..         when the police said that Cam was in no way at fault....  a few reporters or bloggers buried it at the bottom of their articles.     Because.....implying Cam is a thug or a menace to society  gets clicks and sells papers.             Implying he is a good young man,  which,  is the truth,  doesn't get as many clicks.

ESPN was trying to pretend he was considered by announcing he isn't a person of interest. fuging schmucks.

It's kinda hard to pin a whole lot on ESPN here given that the only thing they actually did was to reprint a blurb that was written by the Associated Press and add David Newton's name as a 'contributor'.

If you wanna charge plagiarism, you might have something.  Since they did actually cite the source though, even that doesn't stick.

Crusade though?   If someone's trying to prove a point, why the hell would they just copy someone else's piece verbatim?

I'm waiting for the point when you are unreasonable.

Cam has a fake smile too! I hate thugs. What's he doing in a club at 7:00 pm in the offseason...you know what they say, nothing good ever happens at 7:00pm. He's just looking for trouble. I don't know how much more of his bullsh1t we should take. What an embarrassment to the panthers and the league.

He should have been studying for his Sociology test.

"George Clooney not a person of interest in Charlotte NC club shooting."

I mean, it's TRUE right?

NEWS!

If he were there when it happened and the police announced it, yeah it would be. Minor news, but news.

They're essentially saying to the press "don't bother asking us anything about Cam Newton being there because he's not involved". Something which, given today's TMZ style journalism, I'd say is a good move on their part.

The AP printed it. ESPN copied and pasted it. Story over.

People getting upset over what amounts to a footnote is kinda silly.

If you think the police put out such a statement without being asked about it first BY THE PRESS, you're being naive.

The Associated Press?

I ask because that's where the story actually comes from, despite the fact that everybody wants to use it to bash ESPN.

God these f*cking idiots like David Newton piss me off. Then you have the jack wagons in Charlotte claiming Panther fandom just f*cking waiting in the weeds for Cam to screw up. The kid has given us 4 years of excitement and has been nothing but stellar for this city yet morons continue to pile on.

To be fair Hardy followed the law in every way and still got screwed over. The way the NFL is becoming it does not matter if you break the law so much a get caught up in it. So expect more of stuff like this because there is no clear cut rules when and when a player is not in trouble with the NFL.
