Jets are interested QB Brian Hoyer, but only “if the price is right.

[W]e’re not trying to break the bank for (Hoyer). We need someone to help Geno [smith] out and help out the quarterback position. At the end of the day, I’m not looking losing sleep over which [veteran QB] we bring in.

Report: Brown Express Interest In CB Darrelle Revis

The Browns have expressed interest in CB Darrelle Revis.

Revis played for Browns HC Mike Pettine while they were with the Jets.
Yesterday, the Patriots are declined to pick up Revis’ $20 million option which makes him an unrestricted free agent.

Revis, 29, put together an impressive first year in New England and is in line for another massive contract.

In 2014, Revis recorded 47 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and 14 pass defenses over the course of 16 games. Pro Football Focus has Revis rated as the No. 4 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.

Would much rather him in Cleveland than NE or NYJ

I hear from my Phins message board that Miami is looking into Patrick Robinson, Searcey and has had whispers with Wilfork. However Wilfork being from South Florida, has said in the past he hates the Dolphins. So I doubt that, especially with Suh's signing.

Also heard we've talked with Andre Johnson about a home comming, but like someone posted before, he wants to go to a winner with an established elite QB.

Mike Wallace Discusses His Situation With The Dolphins

Josina Anderson of ESPN spoke to Dolphins WR Mike Wallace about his current situation with the Dolphins.

On if he is happy with playing for the Miami Dolphins:

“Yeah I am happy. It is a nice place to play football, so yes I am happy.”

On if coming to Miami has been what he has expected?

“Yes for the most part.”

On whether Wallace is open to a pay cut or restructuring his deal if asked:

“Like I said I am willing to help out the team, but at the same time I’m not about to do nothing crazy either. I’ll definitely help the team out, but it has to be reasonable—what I feel is reasonable.”

On what he feels is reasonable:

“I don’t know. I have to see what exactly what my agent and the team is talking about and whatever I feel is reasonable. It’s not set like this is what it is. If we come to an agreement, I’m with it. Like I said, I’m not about to do something too crazy. I still have a family that comes first.”

On if he’s communicated a pay cut limit:

“Not really because whatever the deal is going to be, it’s going to be to where I get my money back. It’s not going to be like I just take a cut and that’s what it is. No, it’s not going to be like that. If it is a restructure, (there’s) going to have to be ways I can earn my money back.”

Chiefs Sign S Tyvon Branch To A One-Year Deal

Chiefs are signing S Tyvon Branch to a one-year contract.

The Raiders released Branch in a move that freed up $2.986 million in available cap space. There was talk for a few months that Oakland could move on from Branch, so his release wasn’t all that shocking.

Many have suggested that the Ravens could make sense for Branch given that signing him wouldn’t impact their compensatory picks and they could really use safety help.

Branch, 28, had another three years remaining on his contract, but also had the highest cap figure on the team.

Last year, Branch appeared in three games and recorded 29 tackles, one sack and a pass defense for the Raiders’ defense.

You don't cut a guy who scores 10 TDs.....but god after week 17 and his one-trick pony bullshit....I am ready to let the motherfuger go.

He can restructure and not lose a dime, just throw that salary in as a signing bonus instead or something. Free up some space. Should have known when he left a better team in Pitt to Miami due to the money, and Pitt didnt match the offer that we were getting this kind of guy. Steeler fans warned us. Hope we keep him for ON THE FIELD reasons....but I can't stand him off of it.

Gachkar, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Chargers back in 2011. He has since played out his four-year, $2,085,900 rookie contract that included just $45,900 guaranteed and appears to have enough interest that he will be able to secure a sizable raise.

Last year, Gachkar appeared in 15 games and recorded 49 tackles, a fumble recovery and scored a defensive touchdown for the Chargers. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 28 inside linebacker out of 60 qualifying players.

I'd like Gach to return to SD, but can't fault him for looking around. For a while last year, he was probably playing the best of the ILBs, but the best he could do here is the 3rd behind Butler/Te'o.

William Floyd hated the Panthers...right up till the moment he signed with them.

Ian Rapoport is now reporting that Cowboys executive Stephen Jones and the agent for RB DeMarco Murray’s spoke last night.

  • According to Rapoport, the Cowboys tried to make a final push to re-sign him.
  • Rich Stroud reports that the Buccaneers have shown interest in Murray, but he adds that Buccaneers’ fans should not get “overly excited” about the possibility.
