Jayson Braddock reports that the Texans are “showing lots of interest” in free agent DE Da’Quan Bowers.

Braddock adds that the Dolphins have checked in on Bowers as well, but the Buccaneers are hoping to re-sign him.

 

Bills

Tim Graham reports that the Bills have made progress in re-signing DE Jerry Hughes, but the two sides “very aware clock ticking.”

 

Chargers

According to Mike Garafolo, the Chargers are looking to make some offensive line upgrades and are expected to have interest in Broncos free agent OL Orlando Franklin.

 

Lions

Charles Robinson of Yahoo expects the Lions to step of their pursuit of DT Nick Fairley “when” DT Ndamukong Suh departs in the coming days.

 

Texans

Terez A. Paylor reports that multiple teams including the Texans have inquired about Chiefs free agent S Ron Parker.

a lot of people talk about Joe Barksdale, but Orlando Franklin might be the second-best RT in FA behind Bryan Bulaga. And the Charlotte Observer recently listed him as one of our "Realistic options"

Charles Robinson mentions that it would probably take $17-$18 million per year and $52 million guaranteed for the Ndamukong Suh to entertain re-signing with the Lions.

 

Suh is a fuging beast, no doubt about it.  But I just don't see how you can tie up that type of money in any player who isn't a franchise QB in a league with a hard salary cap like the NFL.
