Several league sources are talking about Ndamukong Suh to #Dolphins as if it has already happened. DeMarco Murray returning to #Cowboys, too

The fact that there is no state income tax in Florida would mean he would be able to keep several million dollars of this agreement, which is a big difference when you consider that state income taxes in other states like California (13.3 percent) and Michigan (4.25 percent).

good god. no wonder so many FAs go to the bucs

Eagles Remain Front Runners For CB Byron Maxwell

But adds that they may have to choose between him and S Devin McCourty.

Maxwell, 26, has played out his four-year, $2,153,452 rookie contract and will now be an unrestricted free agent next week.

In 2014, Maxwell recorded 39 tackles, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and 12 pass defenses over the course of 13 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 45 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.

Good fit for both team and player.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reached an agreement with S Major Wright.

Situation to watch now in Tampa: S Dashon Goldson is no lock to return, even with $4m of his $7.5m guaranteed. Cut, trade both possible.

Chatter here in FL is that Goldson, LT Anthony Collins, DE Michael Johnson, and P Michael Koenen are on the chopping block because of high salary & low production. Even sweeter about Collins and Johnson is they just became Bucs last year!

Notice how the bucs were "big spenders" last year and we as fans were "so jealous" .. now they are paying the price. Careful what you ask for folks. a 2-14 team in cap touble? G damn

seems like all the big FA spenders never put together a well rounded team, and they never can win consistently. ITs all about value and production.

I love Gettleman cause when money is tight, he finds cheap players that can contribute and produce. We have yet to see what he can do when he doesn't have Hurney's poo to deal with. He doesn't need to pay tiffany's price to get tiffany's production..

teams like the bucs pay tiffany's price and dont even get the production they need. they use FA as a bandaid for not drafting well. All the teams spending big money are in trouble and they know it. desperate. We are drafting well and have a plan..

boy, that was some well spent cash

They thought so last year. This year, buyer's remorse?

Sounds like they're thinking about cutting those 4 while they have the cap room to absorb the hits. Instead of hanging onto Collins and Johnson and sending the message that if your contract is big enough, then you're immune to being cut and can act however lazy you want.

Texans re-sign OT Derek Newton (5 years, $26.5 million): C- Grade
I can't say I understand this contract. As I mentioned in the Doug Free re-signing below, chemistry is very important when it comes to the offensive line. However, Derek Newton is just not that good.

Newton played well in the second half of the season last year, but he has otherwise been a pedestrian blocker in his 4-year career, especially when it's come to pass protection. Newton, while run blocking well, was poor when it came to shielding Ryan Fitzpatrick and the other quarterbacks in 2014, so there's no reason to expect him to improve in that regard going forward. I would've been fine with Houston retaining him cheaply, but this contract is just outrageous. Quite simply, the Texans overpaid.

Cowboys re-sign OT Doug Free (3 years, $15M; $6M guaranteed): A- Grade
Chemistry is extremely important when it comes to maintaining a strong offensive line. Dallas finally got the talent together up front, so keeping all of the blockers together for another season is huge for Tony Romo and whomever starts at running back next year.

Doug Free is a talented right tackle who has played exceptionally well the past couple of seasons. Age is beginning to be a concern with him - he turned 31 in January - but the price is extremely good; $6 million guaranteed over three years for one of the better right tackles in the business is a great deal.
