I'm not sure how to address this... There is a spell-checker built in on this forum. How does this crap happen?

I think it is caused by a lack of understanding of English. My theory is that due to a lack of encouragement to read as a child many people who post on internet message boards (painfully attempting to use English as they do so) suffer from this lack of understanding.
