Interesting Competition...

I think we all know the Jarrett vs Moore competition is officially over. Moore played the slot with Smith and Moose, while also playing with the second team. He made some plays in both situations and continues to look so much more comfortable out there.

So with that battle over I thought about Jarrett vs Rosario. I know Dante is a tight end but which is the better receiver? They are close to the same size, Jarrett may be a tad faster, both have good hands, both are big and physical. I think Rosario runs better routes and uses his body better than Jarrett. Rosario also is a special teams ace and blocks much better. So whats my point in all this you ask??? On gameday the panthers can only dress 43 players (dumbest rule in sports) so do they dress three tightends or 4 receivers? In my opinion they should dress Rosario and leave Jarrett off the active roster each week. Rosario can kick out a play receiver as well as fullback and special teams. If we get an injury Moore is capable and I feel good about Goodson's receiving skills.

I guess my overall point is that even IF Jarrett makes the team, I still think he is the 5th or even 6th best receiver on the team. I know its early but he hasn't done anything this preseason and I don't imagine that he will get much of a chance during the regular season. He is officially a bust, sorry folks, lets move on.

Haha, at first I thought you were suggesting we move Jarrett to TE and was going to make a Mike Williams joke.

Yeah, I agree. Dress Rosario over Jarrett all day, every day.

Where do these guys come from Colbert, Mike Williams, Dwayne Jarrett, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart??? I'm sensing a pattern....

Actually I'm pretty sure Rosario is faster than Jarrett.

It's totally possible. I think both run somewhere in the high 4.5 range. I just can't believe that Jarrett can't get more seperation from the db's. Rosario makes play after play and Jarrett takes a smoke screen 10 yards and he is all smiles.
