Florio: Panthers to do list

top dawg

Recommended Posts

Everyone remember Florio is an actual lawyer that started PFT as a hobby. Just because he's grown the website into something national doesn't mean he knows jack poo about running a team.

sorta like having a sportswriter be your GM.......

Only thing distinguishing him from the average poster is he has a site followed by millions and has a presence on TV radio and social media. Not saying his points are always correct but they obviously tend to be compelling.

step 1 or 2 is spranklin that gettlecrack on some of these contracts (CJ) and then we can see where we sit because you know were not going in the FA pool early.

If Gettleman sits back and scrapes the crust of the macaroni and cheese off the side of the dish after arriving to the family party three hours late, I will call him a fat fuger.

I don't mind not shopping at Tiffany's but if you want something on that clearance aisle end at Target, you had better jump on it early.  He has no excuses for waiting until rihgt before closing time this year.

He has some good contacts and occasionally puts out good stuff. Everything in this piece however could have come directly from posts on here.

Perhaps you're right about the numbers. But you sure have a few people here trying to justify it as being the perfect move by our perfect owner, and our perfect GM. They seem to---in essence---take part in other people's misery surrounding the situation. Well, not that I was ever Hardy's most ardent supporter, but I am here to fight back against this mass trolling with a .

I think you're confused about this. No one would say we are better without him. People just know the organization and using the past as a measuring stick, it's safer to assume there is a higher chance he won't be here than the chance he will be here.

His good stuff usually comes from his explaining legalese and technical points. The Mike Vick debacle involving federal vs. state prosecution and predicting his brother would flip on Vick is what put Florio on the map, along with legalese involved with the uncapped year and 2011 CBA.

My point is that some seem to be relishing rubbing in it faces about Hardy not coming back.  To me it's basically just dumb because, at the end of the day, the team that we all root for will be worse without Hardy, regardless of what anyone thinks about the FO's handling of the situation.  Moreover, some have consistently  attempted to clown others for having another valid train of thought, opposite the FO's, regarding the situation.   That's dumb in my book also.  Hardy leaving is not a win for the Carolina Panthers no matter if people want to "win" on the message board by making others feel miserable.

Yeah, I don't get that either. But there are both sides to it. There is no debating that he makes our team better, but we aren't lost without him. I don't understand why people wouldn't want him on the team at a discount though... But who knows how big a discount, if any, he'd take

You act like we haven't been through a recent year without Hardy

I agree. The snobbish attitude I see in posts when it comes to Hardy nor re-signing is silly to me.

Yeah he's not going to be back, but is that really something we should be happy/snobbish about?

Almost all the good DEs that would hit FA have been tagged. Should Greg hit the market, he would have a ton of money thrown at him which I doubt we can afford but yeah, ideally we should try to keep him.

Honestly I don't even see Hardy getting off the list till after FA and maybe after TC. The NFL has dug in and will not move. This poo storm may not end for awhile.

i'm not saying it's a win, but i can understand why the FO did what they did

it's just irritating to read "hur only boyscouts on these here panthers richard$on doesn't care about winning dave gettledouche blah blah" day after day from people who don't even understand what happened
