Just got home from the game...

The over/under on this thread is 4 replies on how long it takes before someone misinterprets his disappointment in the team's performance for not being able to win in the preseason.

If this had been a scrimmage against a high school squad, I'd still be just as pissed. There is no excuse for allowing a third-rate offense to break the 400 yard mark against you. None. Ever. Period.

On the plus side, the only turnover was the Wesley interception. Goodson and Moore look like damn decent options on offense. Kasay looks better on the long kicks. Lloyd seems to have remembered how to kick a touchback. Delhomme actually improved as the night went on. The only touchdown was a rushing touchdown from the 4th string RB against a defense that only allowed 4 rushing touchdowns last year. Steve Smith is still Steve Goddamn Smith. A plethora of starters were out for the game and we still only lost by four. I'm liking the use of the TE's.

Still.....the defense is starting to get me ill....

Eagles, Falcons, Cowboys, Saints, Patriots......if this is what we do against the Ravens I hate to see these games. But its JUST preseason I'm sure we will do fine and put it all together at the last minute. .:nonod:

It's not putting it together at the last minute. Do you understand that a lot of these guys have actually played on an NFL team before?

And some of them have actually played in the playoffs? They know what it takes, they've been there before.

Because they're not playing lights out in the pre-season is no reason to throw in the towel. They won't lose any sleep over tonight.

If we were in week 4 or 5, and this is was the case, you might have an argument. But it's only week 3......

of the pre-season.

Some of the guys who played tonight won't even be on the team come opening day.

Arizona, Minnesota, and Miami won't be anything to laugh about either. I'm hoping once the 1's get on the field for a full 60 minutes that this starts looking like the team that I "know and love" and not the team that I "support regardless".

BTW, your sig is one of the cutest things I've seen in a while.
