To win the NFC South for a 3rd straight year? What 3 things?

1. Shore up the secondary. Norman finally started to breakout and the 2 rookies Bene/Boston showed some promise for the future. Many feel Bene's future is at nickel. Getting a solid Corner to go across of Norman will help Bene move to nickel and really show what he can do.

2. Get Cam another weapon. Philly looked decent but still is no where near a #2 or even #3 for some teams. Was really easy for teams to double team Rookie KB last year. Super deep draft this year could land us that #2 or even #1b option. Giving Cam WeaponS. Yes plural more than one legit target other than the TE. Something he hasn't had since he's been here. KB did well despite being double teamed most of the year. Let's see how high his ceiling may truly be.

3. Pass Rushers/DL. This is the whole strength of a Gettleman/Rivera team. Ealy started to show some promise towards the end. Bringing in another talented kid to bring the heat in competition with him will only be a good thing. Will help give an aging CJ some rest.

*Will not be hard to bring someone who will be an upgrade to Bell. With some spending room with more cap room will make it easier.

Biggest need is LT, that's no secret.  I point the finger right at the Eagles MNF game and how bad the offensive line played in that game...9 sacks, countless hits and hurries.  Panthers were lucky Cam didn't get hurt in that game.  Granted David Foulcut started in that game but why the hell was he the next available option?  There had to be a veteran they could have signed off the street that would have played better than him.  Anyway, the Panthers will likely draft a LT early and sign a veteran to compete for the spot.

Second is pass rushers. Hardy is gone, Ealy will likely take his starting spot, but behind him are some mediocre young guys.  Addison is a great situational pass rusher and Wes Horton has been improving, but neither should start.  They need someone who could push Johnson for his starting spot in the next year or two.  Wouldn't be surprised if the Panthers went DE in the first or second round.

I think the secondary is in better shape than we think but, they need a #2 CB and a safety to replace Roman Harper next year.  I could see them signing a safety like Searcy or drafting a guy late like Tre Boston last year and letting him sit and learn behind Harper and starting next season.

Besides LT, the Panthers don't have a lot of glaring holes on their roster.  WR is a need for sure, but I could see the Panthers waiting until the 3rd round or later to get a guy.  They're in a great position this offseason to be stacked in 2015.

1.  Competent LT

-I don't really think this is going to be that hard to find.  Byron Bell was quite simply the worst starting tackle this team has ever seen.  Even a journey man tackle is going to look like quite the upgrade over him.  It should be pretty easy to see a better offensive line early on.

2.  Healthy QB and stable of RB's

-This is the big one.  Cam needs to start and stay healthy, and we can ill afford to have Stewart miss substantial time.

3.  Top Ten Defense throughout the year (can't afford for them to play the way they did against Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Green Bay, Minnesota, and Cincy).

what a thread fail...title asks what it will take to win the division this year, making 3 in a row.

Then his post asks all these long term questions like locking up players to long term contracts

which has nothing to do with the thread title, and everyone just fell in.

To win the division this year,

1. stay healthy.

2. continue to develop our young players.

3.  Get better at our positions of need through free agency and draft.

and that's about it.  We are set up far, far better than our rivals to improve and grow.

1) get protection for Cam. We also need depth badly.

2) weapons for Cam. No more journeyman signings, we need established threats.

3) depth on d-line/ secondary... We have great players in CJ, Short, KK and possibly Kony. We need depth behind them. Secondary is alot better than it was, still need depth and safety help.

And of course we need to can Shula.
