Would there be a double standard if..

C'mon now - his last name has both 'Green' and 'Beckham' in it. Kind of like how every DB with the last name 'Cromartie' is an All-Pro.

Maybe I wouldn't question it as much if it weren't coming from the same crowd that proclaimed Stephen Hill to be the answer to our receiving woes.

we need a few more home runs in this draft, WR is not necessarily one of the positions we're in dire need for, considering the FA pool at that position.

what we really need, as far as home runs are concerned, is at OT, Safety and at CB...where the talent is not so available in FA.

It's a situational question. I never once said I WANT DGB as bad as others. It's the off season anyway. To me he is a first round talent, it's a matter of opinion. I wouldn't use a first rounder on him though. The bigger red flag to me is the marijuana use. The domestic issue is an allegation, from what I have read the other person recanted and has backed off.

I'm sure this organization would do it's due diligence before spending a draft pick on a person.

Exactly.

Both would feel good for a moment, then you wake up to the harsh reality that you've got a nasty mess you didn't plan on and now have to clean up.

You just compared drafting a WR to a wet dream? If we drafted DGB, he wouldn't be a wet dream. He would be the reality of banging Jessica Biel and her not being pregnant in person. That's the difference.
