Brady just won his 4th ring....I don't care if you like the man or not, give him his respect. He's number 1, not Rodgers.

word.

watch brady not skipping a beat next year.  rodgers is better fantasy QB.  hell, even manning too.   but i want brady over anybody else in 2 minute drills, 4th qtr, and the big game.

Maybe, or there is no one to overly hype. Trust me, if Rubio had the same talent level as James Harden they wouldn't stop hyping him until they convince us all he's the greatest.

I think with the NFL they're just trolling a certain segment of the population. They are saying, although the NFL look like this but look who the two "The Best" players are. They're obsessed with using the phrase "The Best". Just marketting.

Keuchly "The Best"

Alonso "The Best"

Watt "The Best"

Brady "The Best"

Luck "The Best"

Nelson "The Best"

They just need a guy to be competitive to add "The Best" at the end of his name. In reality, if you follow the NFL those above listed players play quite a small role in their team's success. But to the larger segment of the population it feeds their ego if the media say those players are "The Best".

brady have a small role in their team's success?   i've never heard of that.

Pats offensive system = Brady system.

Pats offense is probably the most complex system in the NFL.   so brady & receivers have to become one.  they have to read each other's mind.  Brady has to know where WRs are going.  WRs have to be there.

- Because of the complexity, only the smart QBs can run this current offense.

- Because of the complexity, QB & WR/TEs relationship becomes critical.

you will notice pats struggle early in the season.  Rookies often struggle(KT & dobson last year).  Even veterans who are slow can experience a struggle(ochocinco).   for pats and many other teams -  september football is basically an extension of the preseason.

But you will also notice eventually they figure things out. Brady's leadership and work ethic is an important element to this great unit.  They must study films together and build a great comradery.  Pats are generally better in the 2nd half of the season because by then they mastered this complex offense together.

Ultimately Brady is the one who throws the ball. Brady can't allow himself to be indecisive.  Often time Brady tried to 'get better on the go' with rookies and inept WRs during the season.  it led to bad passes and INTs. That's not how Brady function.   Brady must trust them.  Look at amendola.  he lost brady's trust and then gained it back. He must go through his progression, and must execute the play with 100% trust.  small hesistation kills the flow, kills the offense. Fortnutately, Brady is one of the best 'decisive' QB in the NFL.

and Pats don't build the team around Brady.  Instead, they want Brady to adapt. Ultimate injustice to Brady, but life isn't fair.  Brady over throws his deep ball after Moss left.  Part habit, part lack of touch on his deep ball, and part lack of trust in his WRs.   Brady was arguably the best deep ball thrower when Moss was there.  Because Moss was great and Brady trusted Moss.   Why Pats never addressed this issue after Moss left?  because they realized Brady is getting aged, and probably assumed Brady won't ever have this deep ball ability.  So instead they decided to create a different type identity SO BRADY CAN FOLLOW.

Brady has no say in personnel decisions.  He lost his favorite targets over the years.  Brady's adaptability allows Pats to address more important issues.  Pats believe as long as Brady is there, offense will just work.  revolving doors of players and OCs, but brady was always successful.

Basically Pats success depends on Brady's performance Monday to Sunday.  His leadership, work ethic, and smart brain allows pats to adapt and just focus on opponents weakness.   If that's not important to Pats success then please enlighten me.

I know you will counter argue

1. BB is genius - Yes he is.  But genius happened with brady as a QB.  They are the greatest combo ever.

2. Matt Cassel - Yes he was successful in 2008.  But then Brady threw 25 more TDs and won 7 more games in the previous season.  And Cassel was successful in 2010 with KC with totally different weapons

Brady's greatness is often misinterpreted IMO.  he isn't the biggest, fastest, and doesn't have the biggest arm(although Brady was able to throw 75 yard bomb - missed throws to randy moss in SB).   but IMO brady is the smartest with no egos.   Yes, IMO, brady is competitive and he can egotistical about his accomplishments.  but He doesn't have the ego within the team.   He trusts BB.  he trusts Mcdaniels.   I'm not sure if many great QBs are like that.   staubaugh was a big headache to landry.  Marino had a huge ego.  Favre did whatever da hell he wanted.  Peyton is the OC. Brady?  Brady is the most coachable great QB IMO.  that helps pats to be pats.

just 2 cents
