Michael Sam invited to veteran scouting combine

For the purposes of this event, veteran' seems largely defined as not being a draft eligible college kid.

 

I thought this was implied, but so many people seem confused by this.  It was said a while back, this combine is mostly for players who slipped through the cracks, never got a real shot, but have increased speed, muscle, size and want to show what their now capable of.  A perfect guy who would have been in this Vet draft would have been Remmer had he not come in and gotten a roster spot, and I bet you he would have garnered some new intrigue that he never had before.

Lol "desperate"? I'd take him over Ealy any day. Was supposed to be a lock for top 10 pick til he came out and said he was gay. Offense rolling blocking assignments to him led to Ealy making an impact.

Please tell me you're joking. He was a projected 3rd-4th round pick before anyone knew he was gay. He's slow, he's undersized, and not very strong. He's too small to be a DE and too slow to be a LB

If Michael Sam has a decent showing at the Veteran Scouting Combine,i can see a team that has a 3-4 defense and is desperate for a pass rusher, take a chance on him.
