Raiders to cut S Tyvon Branch

Even though Roman struggle mightily last season. He was vital to our secondary helping them turning the corner the last 4 or 5 games. I'm not against bringing in Tyvon Branch but the question that remains is do the Panthers move on from Harper? I know he doesn't have that much left in the tank. But does the Panthers feel the need to move on? He only has 1 yr left on his contract and it doesn't save us that much.

Keep them both. Increase competition. Injury depth and can spell each other at times. As long as the price is good enough albeit I have no idea what that is and I guess I don't really care. DG will spend what he thinks is the right price. Not my concern on that front.

I feel like broken bones aren't nearly as bad as ligament injuries and tears. I guess they could be... I'm not a doctor but don't broken bones tend to heal stronger? Seems like they could be more of a freak injury than something that is reoccurring. I'd take a chance on him if the money is right.

this is not always the case

but your point still rings true, there is no reason to believe he can't play at a high level again

That doesn't make him any better. he consistently gets beat on coverage and misses a lot of tackles.

From what I've seen Branch is a pretty decent safety. He will easily be our best safety if we sign him. I honestly don't know how any Panther fan can say no to him I mean our starting safeties are Tre Boston and an old ass Roman Harper easily the worst tandem in the league
