NFL: Greg Hardy won't be reinstated because he hasn't been disciplined yet

But it was all wierd. Court didn't demand immediate something. NFL appealed.

I know the list allows certain communication that Peterson and his agent need to be....

I just haven't read anyone credible report otherwise in regards to consent.

The entire concept of the exempt list is weird.  As it stands now, it's an abuse of power in my opinion.  The NFL, and this commissioner in particular, is woefully lacking in a system of checks and balances.  I know all the owners care about are the paychecks and account balances and they're the ones that give him his power, but the whole thing reeks of bullshit.  The exempt list is just another way for the commissioner to throw his weight around and move the chess pieces on his board rather than treat people fairly and work out honest solutions to problems.

It is definately a weird thing...not sure dusting that off really did anyone a favor.

I believe owners will start to care if it keeps being used regularly. They are the ones paying the penalty.

From what I've read, the Exempt List was never really meant to be used like it is now.  Heck, from what I understand, it's hardly been used at all for a while now.  It was dusted off because the league needed a quick fix for their image issues.

In years to come, I guess it'll be used way more frequently.

I'm sure Richardson and the other owners will make sure they aren't stuck paying players millions on some obscure list again this offseason.....

People are so fixated on the players.....all of who had various degrees of putting themselves in the position to be on it "being punished"....when it was the teams who got screwed. I could easily argue how Rivera was punished more than Hardy. That pick chunk of his cap being removed was a huge handicap for him as a HC.

Funny thing on perspective...

Other teams last year were complaining that the Panthers and Vikings were getting an 'unfair advantage' because of the Exempt List.  They reportedly saw it as us being granted an extra roster spot.

Why that mattered, given that the player couldn't play?  Got me, but they complained anyway.

I'll try this one more time....

Can your employer discipline you....if you have not legally been convicted of something? Or charged with a legal crime?

Yes or no. Simple question

Not the original question...  Strike three, you're done.

And, for the record, who is Greg Hardy's employer since you want to get into literal semantics? The NFL or the Carolina Panthers? Seems to me his contract is with the Panthers and the Panthers are paying him, here or not, as long as you want to play your silly little game.

We all get you think Hardy should be shot at dawn, but I was mistakenly hoping you have at least 2-3 rational cells in your otherwise useless an feeble mind, but alas, I assumed again.

The DA announced when the case was dropped they had reliable info a settlement was reached. If they were opperating under that understanding the its pretty safe to say that it happened. Have you been following this outside of this thread?

If the DA could prove it, they would charge Hardy with witness tampering. The DA said it, does not make it true. I mean if everything the DA said was true, I am sure the state will lose no cases.

What the holy hell are you talking about?

You are actually comparing Hardy being paid to sit out and get paid $13M (while traveling, working on his rap album, etc) to someone who is not able to see their wife and kids for a year? Talk about playing WAY out in left field....you are not even in the stadium.

It's no surprise your simple mind can't grasp what I'm trying to get across. Enjoy playing with you toys and drinking out of your sippie cup.

Now that you mention it....that very well could be what the NFL is investigating.

What exactly are you arguing anyway? Right or wrong he is likely going yo face some sort of discipline. You are arguing with me like you think I want that to happen. I sm just saying the NFL will not let this go.

Both are his employers....but I'm not sure why bother answering your questions when you dodge direct ones.

and in regards to your Hardy should be shot type response....that is nonsense. Thinking Hardy will get around a 2 game suspension can't be linked to that type stance/bias unless you are just being irrational. I don't think Hardy is worth any risk at this point and I thought he was a risky player before the tag last year. All legit reports are our FO basically has thought similar....

You do realize civil settlements are legal and routine?
