Eagles to Trade Up to #1 Overall?

I am not trying to be flippant when I say this, but I could care less.  No one has a crystal ball. Winston could be great, or he could suck. The same goes for any picks that they would acquire.  As long as we take care of our business, that's all I am really concerned with.  As for draft picks who haven't established themselves, anything can and does happen.  G-man does give me a sense of security however.

You are very correct.  I don't support moving up the ladder that much just to take a certain player.  You need picks more than focusing on one individual.

It basically cost the Redskins 3 first round picks and a second to move from the 6th to 2nd on the draft.

Eagles going from 20 to 1 is beyond what I could even guess. They would have to give up like there next 5-6 first round picks to have the #1 overall spot

If its was us picking between Newton and more picks, I know what I would pick. Yet we are talking Lovie Smith here so I could totally see him trading for a vet QB and more picks on defense. No matter what QB goes to the Bucs they will be a game manager.

If I am the bucs, I take the picks and Foles.  I then use most of the picks of them to move up to #2, drafting Winston.  When the dust settles, I get Winston, Foles, and a second rounder.  I then trade Foles for another first rounder in 2016.  Essentially, if it works out, I would get Winston, the player I wanted all along, and a first and second rounder.
