Maybe week one or two you could say that, but not tonight. True, the game doesn't "count", but our defense is nowhere near ready. I know Beason, Davis, and Godfrey were out, but damn, our entire secondary looked like complete crap. Against a second-year QB and a WR that they pulled back out of retirement.

Well, they could always put Smith in to play defense as well as offense. He'd shut down the pass and the run all by himself (he pushes guys around like it's nothing - I swear).

Why dose everyone think that our D is gonna just click right off the bat. Every time a team installs a new scheme there is growing pains. Dont expect greatness untill every one understands what Meeks wants them to do. Really if you want to know thats why Fox tried to keep Trgo. Cause he knew there would be growing pains and he is trying to win NOW.

He got burned big on that one long pass, but other than that, he was alone a lot due to failed blitzes. No cornerback is going to look good in that situation.

Gamble has been a step or two behind the receiver his whole career. He may be athletic, but that doesn't make him a good corner.
