Based on WHAT? He was DC for a team that won 12 games or more for 6 years in a row. He coached a defense in Indy that was built to stop the pass, which makes sense when you have the kind of offense Indy has, which scores points in bunches and forces teams to play catchup.

If anyone didn't see an improvement in our "D", both in achievement and attitude, this past year, they're either blind or stupid. Under Trgovitch, especially in the second half of the '08 season, you had to hold your breath any and every time the other guy's QB dropped back to pass. If Fox is going to suddenly be creditied with the defense's revival, where has he been the past few years?

Give me a break. I'll take Meeks and have the rest of this coaching staff let go in a heart beat!

People were ready to jump on Meeks by preseason. Things take time, people! If we fire Fox and bring in Cower and a new group of assistants, you think it'll take time for the guys to adjust?

Of course, it will! Then again, some fans will be begging to have Fox back, until the players start to gel to Cower.

Meeks is a great coordinator, much better than Trgovac. There is no denying that. The defense is really starting to find it's way in his system, and I hope the organization can keep everyone in tact.

I couldn't have been more wrong about how Meeks' system turned out, and I couldn't be happier about it. The defense should get the credit for our late season surge, they played that well. And Meeks should get credit (unless you believe Pro Football Weekly).

Then again, if we start slow next year, I still think we should get Trgo back. Let him coach the first eight games and Meeks the second.
