LMAO @ all of you morons who are upset over pre-season games.

We're playing without Beason, Jonathan Stewart, Godfrey, DeAngelo Williams.

We'll have Beason, Stewart and Williams on opening day. That's a completely different team.

STFU, please! Pre-season games do not mean anything, nor do you know what Meeks has planned. OK, Jake may have said we did a little game-planning this game, but by no means does that mean our play calling is going to be similar to what it will be in the regular season. Fox doesn't like to show his hand, we're not going to see anything spectacular in the pre-season. It's all about the repetitions and the snaps here.

So act like you have a pair, quit 'yer bitchin and rub some dirt in it.

Word. The problem isn't Meeks: it's the injuries.

So Beason and Davis were the reason that Gamble was abused all night. The D looked bad last year and every game in the preseason...even w/ Beason in the lineup. Having a healty roster doesn't change they are going to rely heavily on the front 4 for pressure (which isn't good enough), it isn't going to change the fact our secondary is weak in coverage with a minimal pass rush. Those are weaknesses we have seen in the preseason but were exposed last season (when the games counted).

I have too agree with CRA you have a D scheme based on having a great front 4 we don't have that. Now what do we do?

when you have the talent we have now on defense you have to get away from a traditional John Fox defense.....that ain't gonna happen. Same reason you give him Brandon Jacobs or Reggie Bush and he will run the both as the same type RB. It is what it is. Fox is a great coach w/ talent the suits what he wants to do.....but he is gonna run the same stuff regardless and some people still can't figure that out.

Good point again talent works when you adapt your idea's too fit it. Not trying too make it fit your idea's. Putting a square peg in a circle hole saying reams true.

For cryin out loud, they have already said that they were going to tweak their schemes to compensate for Kemo being out. I'm pretty sure it was Brian Baker that said it.

Also, the biggest play the defense gave up all night, was when Gamble was playing man to man press coverage and got beat. Panthers fans have been screaming for more press coverage for about two years now, but now that they've shown that they're gonna do it, you complain that this defense is exactly like Trgo's defense.

This place gives me a headache.

Meeks' defense will be a Fox defense. That is what Trgo did. I never said it will be the exact same....it WILL BE very similar in a lot of aspects. Panther fans have been screaming for them to quit playing so many soft schemes and also giving WRs a 10-15 yard cushion.....and we have seen both of those all preseason. I'm talking about Fox's defenses and offenses. You can change coordinators but overall nothing major is going to change.

Of course they are gonna, tweak things. But no major adustment is coming to what they were doing going into the season w/ Kemo.

I just think you can't scheme not being able too hold your ground. If you get pushed around you can't out scheme that. Any defence you run you have too be able too hold a spot or you put somebody else out of place too cover for you.

Well of course it's gonna be similar. Hell, the Panthers ran a boat load of cover two when Del Rio was here, and they ran a lot of it when Trgo first took over too. That doesn't mean that Fox is not gonna allow Meeks to call the defense the way he sees fit. And BTW, nobody has seen the real defense yet...this is still pre season you know.
