Mock Draft by Daniel Jeremiah

Mr. Scot

Clemmings down falls is strictly because of experience, and can be coached up, and learned with experience. has to have confidence in his athleticism, which is very good for an OT. he has only played OT for 2 years.

now many of you didn't want KB because of such "rawness", but that seemed to work out pretty good. Clemmings is some what raw, because of time at the position, but he would come in and start at RT as a rookie.

I don't think Kelvin's "rawness" is a great example here. He had 1000 yards receiving and 15 TD's and made the TD winning catch in the biggest college game of the year. For me, that pick was a no brainer.

KB was only a 2 year player on the collegiate level. Clemmings has only played the OT position for 2 years on the collegiate level, but has played college football longer. nobody keeps up with OL stats such as knockdowns, pancakes etc.. so you cannot not base it strictly off stats.

look at the game film, and you will see a prototype OT, that is very young to the position, but shows great effectiveness in his game.

Well, I saw the Senior Bowl practices and game and while I did see potential it also gave me the willies. I'd rather just not go there. Did not feel that way about Benjamin at all. I could be completely wrong, I'm just not comfortable about a DE converting to RT and now expecting him to jump another level to LT in the pros. Sounds too much like Chandler.

he has 2 years experience at RT on the college level. he is a better athlete then Chandler as well. he struggled in the senior bowl, but those mistakes were all correctable through coaching. most OL look bad in 1 on 1 drills tho, because the DL can go either way, and do any move to win.

So far, Clemmings has had the right mentors. Chryst, now Wisconsin’s head coach, had four future first-round picks on the offensive line during his previous stint as the Badgers’ offensive coordinator: Joe Thomas (2007), Gabe Carimi (2011), Kevin Zeitler (2012) and Travis Frederick (2013). Jim Hueber, Chryst’s offensive line coach at Pitt, also spent five years coaching o-line in the NFL.

Chryst seen the potential in him to be an effective OT, and asked him to switch to OT.
