the guy has never done a thing that would suggest he would be a good coach.  maybe working with kids or something but you're dealing with grown ass men, many of whom are millionaires, at the NFL level.  they're motivated by different poo.

Sorry but I still think Smith acted like a butt hurt spoiled rotten brat after he was released. This whole deal with both of them does nothing but stink up the place. Gets on my nerves.

this site was full of people who liked steve smith with the caveat that he was a panther and, though he could reportedly be a pain in the ass, he was the best and most consistent weapon we had in the passing game for so many years that it was worth it.  at least that's the line of thinking i subscribed to.  anybody who was self aware had to at least consider that his antics wouldn't be nearly as cute or entertaining if it was being done to us rather than some other team.

 

i don't get where this "oh the huddle would have taken a bullet for him but the nano second after he was released everyone hated him and wanted to see him thrown off a skyscraper lol #huddlelogic" thing comes from.  there were a lot of inflamed yet very mixed emotions going on during that scenario and it was a lot more complicated than that.  add in the anger a lot of people felt toward our GM and front office and it resulted in a lot of people saying things they probably didn't really mean.

I think there is a lot of wiggle room between throwing someone off a building type hate and disappointment. I don't hate either one but the comments they both made were and are disappointing..
