If you've been watching NFL Network today, you may have caught their praise and segment on Davis Tull.

6'2 3/8, 246, 42.5" Vertical (highest since 2006 at LB), 11' broad jump

He's been compared to everyone from Von Miller to Luke to Shazier.  Crazy athletic with a very high football IQ.  4 year starter, very very quick and instinctive.  SoCon Defensive Player of the Year.....3 years in a row.  Maintained a 4.0 GPA while racking up 18 TFL & 10.5 sacks most recently.  His sophomore year, he was second in the country in sacks at DE/LB.

This guy screams Carolina Panther in my mind and could see his stock rising.

Greg Gabriel, who was a scout for Giants 1985-2001 before spending 9 years as Director of College Scouting for the Bears (2002-2010):

from his prospect focus on Davis Tull:

"Tull is a fun guy to watch on tape because he makes plays all over the field and plays every down from snap to whistle. He is a top competitor ... Hull is a relentless competitor who makes plays from sideline to sideline. He has top instincts, plays with strength, and is consistently around the ball. While he is a good run defender, he is best as a pass rusher, where he shows an explosive bull rush as well as speed off the edge. He is good at putting counter moves together.

...

On the downside, Hull had labrum surgery shortly after his pro day. While he should be ready for the start of training camp, there is a possibility that he does miss some time. When you factor in that, as well as the fact that he will not be able to participate in OTA’s, and he is from an FCS school, his draft stock could drop a little. Still, he should get drafted in the third or fourth round. This is a player with a lot of upside and a bright future, so my thinking is that the injury will hurt him a little but not much."
