Would Jeff Garcia be a good fit in Carolina?

Garcia is a WCO QB and would be a very bad fit here.

agreed here. he's a decent system QB. his age is showing and his body is getting beat up. he won't last a whole lot longer.

i do think that he actually gives the raiders the best chance at winning this year, fwiw.

I have always liked Garcia, but I think the Panthers need to be looking long term at QB...I don't think QB is a position you want to have a couple of guys in their last seasons, one is OK, but not two. I'd probably prefer they spent a year on Marvin Harrison...at least he would have more of a chance of getting on the field and making an impact.

I thought the Raiders were a vertical attack team anyway. With all there speed at WR it would seem that way. Then again the change Coaches like every year so I could be wrong. Garcia dose not have the arm to be in any other system except WC.

He has failed big time every time he has played in a system other than the WCO. Plus Testeverde can throw the ball longer than him.

Exactly.

Then again, if that's the case, why did the Raiders sign him? Hoping to go with an offense like in the days of Rich Gannon?
