Ok, I need a meat and potatoes break down of who will actually be there at 25 realistically

Strong hasn't established enough to be a Top 10 pick.

DGB is not gonna be drafted in the first round. We can bet on that right now.

As for Flowers, he's a natural RT. He'll be there at 25th. One could argue Flowers will be there in the second round too.

We'll likely draft a DE, OLB or DB in the first.

Lunacy. He probably won't even be there at 25. Teams will look past character concerns, especially if he's made changes in his life.

On the latest CBS big board these are the players rated to be best available when we pick :-

26 Cameron Erving OT 6 Florida State rSr 6-5 313

27 *Jaelen Strong WR 5 Arizona State rJr 6-2 217

57 *Benardrick McKinney ILB 3 Mississippi State rJr 6-4 246

58 Reese Dismukes C 1 Auburn Sr 6-3 296

59 Clive Walford TE 2 Miami (Fla.) rSr 6-4 251

89 Preston Smith DE 9 Mississippi State Sr 6-5 271

90 Lorenzo Mauldin OLB 8 Louisville Sr 6-4 259

I don't follow college football so I know nothing about these players ,(except Beckham).and these rankings will change ,but looks

like it would be an interesting choice

Strong in the 1st with Smith in the 3rd would suit me just fine!  Give me someone other than those three in the 2nd.

Hadn't got your answer yet, have you?

Haha nope. Im really starting to think this is the kind of draft you need to draft a guy like DGB and just be sure you draft really well rounds 2-7, reading the tea leaves this just seems like a really weak draft across the board imo. You have maybe 3 or 4 legit elite guys then seems to be a huge drop off after that.

Didn't read the entire thread, but I think you start to form your pool by listing as many players as possible that you are rather certain will be drafted before #20.

WRs:  Cooper, White, Parker  (3)

QBs: Mariota, Winston (2)

OL:  Scherff, Flowers, Peat, Clemmings, Collins (5)

DL: L. Williams, Ray, Brown, Dupree, Shelton  (5)

OLB: Gregory, Fowler, Thompson, Beasley (4)

DB: Collins (1)

Remaining first-round talent (bold indicates a need)

CB: Waynes, Peters, Rollins

S: -----------

DT: Goldman, Phillips, Armstead (3-4 DE)

DE: Odighizuwa

LB: ---------

RB: Gordon, Gurley

WR: Strong, Green-Beckham (character flaws, could be off board), Coates (hope not--we do not need 2 WRs who drop passes)

OT:  Erving, Fisher (expecting him to rise)

OG:--------

OC:--------

TE: --------

FB:--------

QB:-------

Of course, you have to realize that there is a good chance one of the "top 20" will drop to the Panthers and one of the "remaining first round talent" will go earlier.

This is the right way to think about it from a fan's perspective.  Just think about who for sure is gone.

Expect one or two Bruce Irvin/Marcus Smith type picks and then you'll have an idea of a handful of guys who should be available.

WR wise, I think someone will reach for Devin Smith.

WRs:  Cooper, White, Parker, Smith (4)

QBs: Mariota, Winston (2)

OL:  Scherff, Peat, Clemmings, Collins (4)

DL: L. Williams, Ray, Brown, Dupree, Shelton  (5)

OLB: Gregory, Fowler, Thompson, Beasley (4)

DB: Waynes, L Collins, J Collins (3)

That's 22 guys I'm thinking could be gone.  If one is there, grab him...minus the QBs of course.  I think Flowers may take a slide but at the same time, don't think it would be a given we pick him.

How I'd rank the next available:

Humphries OT

Jaelen Strong WR

Owa Odi DE

Paul Dawson OLB

Armstead DE

Jordan Phillips DT

Goldman DT

Fisher OT

Flowers OT
