Jaelen Strong

Strong and aSpeedy slot guy in the 4th like a Lockett or Diggs. We just Brought in a 2nd WR coach to help out. 3 WRs in these 2 loaded classes with all that coaching help and will be here for a while to gel with Cam is the best case scenario

Two of those are the only three receivers I would want because they wouldn't be reaches. Nelson and Dorsett are nice but are probably going in the second. But strong at 25 and Diggs in the 3/4 man Oh man.

Colts Draft:

"The Colts must add a receiver either in free agency or the draft, but the biggest favor they could do for themselves at the position is to add someone who could be even better than their No. 1 receiver Hilton.

...

Jaelen Strong gives Luck a target with a huge catch radius... His size, strength and long arms make him a huge matchup concern for opponents. Strong’s basketball background shows, as he boxes out defensive backs, wins jump balls and has the ball skills of a power forward. He..runs a plethora of routes. Although a primarily outside receiver, Strong also lines up in the slot. He uses his body very well, especially on back-shoulder connections....a technical, well-rounded receiver... Strong reminds me a lot of a taller Anquan Boldin. They both are physical receivers that use their bodies and technique to get the ball, and they almost always win jump balls."

Cowboys blog:

"Jaelen Strong is an athletic freak of nature...Any NFL receiver coach that can’t turn this kid in to a top 5 WR needs to be coaching high school football in Alaska...a mismatch nightmare for average sized NFL CB’s...elite ability to go up and get contested balls…strong hands and snatches the ball out of the air with ease... uses his body well to shield the defender and knows how to use his height and length to his advantage… Makes circus catches with ease…Pretty much unbeatable on back shoulder fades... Day one starter at the next level"

Earlier during the football year I was on the fence with him, as more cut ups get released I don't think I could get behind this pick if it were to happen at 25.

I wouldn't be mad I'd just need to see him prove he can play on the outside first. I have my doubts.

from Nov 20:

"Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State (SR.) He’s a stronger Jordan Matthews, in my eyes. Separation isssues are overblown because of the NFL contact rules and because of his ability to overpower DBs at the apex of his routes."

http://thedraftreport.com/a1gfootballs-first-2015-nfl-mock-draft/

Jordan Matthews as a 22-year-old rookie last year: 872 yards, 8 TD, 13.0 yds/rec

Want this kid.

Wasn't to many OT's that stood out to me yesterday as a 1st round guy yesterday.  This WR class is Super deep again.

I've seen several people rush Perriman up the boards, but I think Strong is the #4 WR in this class.  Would be a top 15 guy if it was for White, Cooper, and Parker.

Strong has only played 2 seasons at ASU and posted 2,287 yards and 17 TDs in those 2 seasons.  Going up against some of the top DB's in the Nation in the Pac12 (Alex Carter, Ifo, and Marcus Peters just to name a few)

He is a Very Physical Strong WR with good hands.  A couple guys announcing the combine compared him to Fitzgerald.

Strong just measured up at 6'2 217 at the combine.  Posted a 4.44 40 42" vert and 10'3 broad jump

very nice.

Strong had ZERO drops at his pro day

Dudes a Beast and with Maclin going to KC he is falling right towards us. Not a OT that will be in our range I want over this kid.

I want him at 25 but we still have a few WR needy teams in front of us. Cleveland, KC (despite Maclin), Eagles, 49ers, and the Dolphins all need a receiver just as bad as we do.
