Whats the real difference between a 4.5and a 4.8 40 yard dash? Geoff Schwartz had a post a few years ago about hiwbsilly the 40 was, but the sumation was 2 steps. So at less than .1 of a second, its more about the player than the time.

I have  never understood why they didn't make them do their runs and workouts with a full uniform,just like they would have to do in a regular game. These combine events are more like a track and field  event,instead of a football.performance evaluation.
