If you go by the interview, Winston will be the first pick.

Did you know Peyton manning rubbed his asshole in a chicks face at UT then she got payed off to shut up about it?

Don't say anything to them.

I just had a conversation with a Tennessee Titans fan talking about how he would rather have Mettenberger because he has zero character concerns.

The same Mettenberger that was kicked out of UGA and banned in certain parts of GA because he pleaded guilty to a sexual assault offense.

Ignorance abounds...

Image is everything, isn't it?

I think he is in denial.  I think he has never been held accountable for his crap.  If I had been such an ass in the public eye for so long, I would not be smiling and bragging to the media (who refused to ask the questions that needed to be ask).

Winston is a fake.  He was coached. You all saw a well-rehearsed performance.  Where were the tough questions?   No remorse, no shame, no humility.  If I were a reporter, I would ask, "You mention that you want to be the face of the franchise.  Are you concerned that the fans will not want an accused rapist being the face of their franchise?"

Having women accuse you of rape is not a sign of immaturity. It is a sign of a potential criminal. Go to Tampa. After all he has been accused of, how do you make comments to the media with a smug smile and talk about how good you look?  If you want to critique the people writing about you, let them address the real you, and then tell us how that makes you look.

Sorry if you all can dismiss him, but I can't.  The press let his sorry ass off the hook today.

I like sports psychics, ones who can read a young athlete's mind by watching an interview.

You sound like the people who wouldn't shut their mouths right before cam was drafted.

You sound like you have some ill bias towards the kid you should probably look into.

Winston is not a Panther. He's not going to be a Panther. So I have no reason to buy into the bullshit he was selling at the podium today. He is going to be drafted by the division rival Butt Pirates, so I hope his idea of getting involved in the community is supporting the single moms at Mons Venus, 2001 Odyssey, Scores, and the Pink Pony strip clubs that are all within 2 miles of Raymond James Stadium.

Judging by the work on the field, he'll be the 1st pick by a mile.. Mariota will be a bust if he does not go to chip kelly or another team willing to mimic an uptempo spread offense.

^^This^^

Based on talent alone, no question he is the overall #1 pick. However, the character issues is enough to make any organization run for the hills. I'm not even referring to the rape allegations. Maybe he is guilty, maybe he is not. But to steal fugging crablegs from a grocery store and then claim he "forgot" to pay has idiot written all over it. The dude thinks that he is above the law. Without question, Scam had his issues coming out of college as well, but from everything I have read, or saw, he appears to be a model citizen up to this point in his career. I am just thankful that is not the Panthers that have the dilemma of rather to draft this guy or not. Winston is definitely a boom or bust prospect. I actually hope that the Bucs do draft him, because I think he will end up in trouble or in jail sooner rather than later.

Just my 2 cents.

I like gullible morons who lack the ability to read between the lines.  Kiss his ass if you want to--kiss mine while you are at it.

The last time you were crying someone attacked u personally because u criticized Cam yet here you are calling people morons because they disagree with you. Hypocrite much?

It just may make someone appear petty to keep on harping on mistakes that have already been admitted by the culprit. What are you going to do, nail the person to the ground? The media has done that before (to our very own QB), and it got tiring to listen to. It really serves no purpose than to make a news story and/or support an agenda. We've "been there-done that" so many times. As a fan of football in general, "I don't want to hear that." Perhaps the media has learned a lesson from Cam and others.

As a personnel exec or fan, all I am really looking for at the end if the day is assurances (in my mind) that the character concerns won't pop up in the future. To that end, I believe Winston made a believable accounting of himself today. But that's just an opinion. Sincerity and believability are very much subjective.

I will say that sometimes it's difficult to keep your own preconceived notions from clouding your judgment.

Reporters 4 years ago wouldn't stop asking the questions they felt they "needed" to know about Cam.

Winston comes out says "I made mistakes time to move on" and all they can do is toss him softballs.

This is Cam's interview from his combine. I don't see how he was questioned any differently from Winston unless you want to point it out to us.
