I wouldn't like Thomas going to ATL, but it's hard to consistently score over 30 a game when your defense is awful. Or for Matt Ryan to throw TD's from his ass.

Kind of scary. Gonzalez pretty much made the falcons offense to me. They don't need another good tight end.

But then again, they waste all of their cap on offense and their defense remains the worst in the nfl.

 

Julius Thomas is no Tony G. Not even close.

 

Julius is injury prone... Tony G...was durable as hell.

 

Julius' best year............is comparable to Tony G's age 36 year.   Except Tony G had more  yards,  had better hands,  and was the king of scraping the ground with the back of his hands and snagging balls that most TEs would have allowed to be incomplete.    Julius  had more TDs but I truly believe he is a product of Peyton Manning, imo.

In no way am I comparing the two. I was, however, comparing Atlanta's offense with a reliable third down target instead of their third string guy they have now.

Cam is a terrible QB if you take away his rushes.

Not really his passing averages are quite similar to brady in is his first four seasons. So not sure where u go that from.

julius thomas is a pretty average tight end if you take away his touchdown catches.

Isnt that the reason the offense is on the field, to score tds? I would be perfectly fine if olsen had 500 yds receiving on 30 receptions if he had 20 tds.

The point isn't to discuss Cam, but that you can't completely throw out a player's stats in one category and then say oh well without those he sucks.

He's one dimensional which was discussed ad nauseum on NFL Live recently when discussing franshise tags to he and 88. However, id rather see him in Jax.
