Haven't heard anything leaked out about Hornets trades.  Cho's best work is usually done in the dark.  

 

It seems anytime something is leaked means the deal is already dead. 

 

If I was betting, I would say nothing gets done, and we buy out lance next season.  

 

I still think Cho wants to take the long term look at this roster.  Which if you listen to Bill Simmons, this is a smart way for a GM to operate. Basically ensures job security.  

 

Either way, I love the trade deadline.  I don't know why it is just exciting to me.

If we suck it up and hold on to him this season, next year he has a 9 million dollar expiring contract that can be extended a season if a team (or us) wants him longer. It was, and still is a super team friendly contract. Buying him out would be a bad idea IMO.

Yeah sadly I don't see anything amazing happening, but if some miracle we could somehow get Dragic, how amazing would that be.  I think the Mo trade may be the extent of what we do.

If he is completely untradeable this off season (which is a real possibility) then we should buy him out. Its pointless this year since contracts are guaranteed for the year on January 10th, but there's no reason to go into the season with an untradeable, unplayable albatross on your team when you're close to the soft cap.
