Vikings GM; We expect AP to return. What universe is domestic abuse worse than child abuse?

Was AP an unreresticted free agent they never intended to bring back in the first place?

And I have said it many times: If the FO had no intention of bringing Hardy back they should have let him walk.  To me, it was not smart to bring Hardy back and leave the O-line vulnerable. We could have made a run at Jared Veldheer (along with possibly Denarius Moore).  We may have even been able to get each to sign and trade with the expectation of signing a long term contract.  I just have a hard time believing that renting Hardy was the formula, particularly with the status of the cap space.

I agree that it was a gross overestimation of the capabilities of the OL by the Panthers front office.

I said time and time again during camp the Panthers would certainly bring in at least one veteran tackle. Afterall, Cam was taking sack upon sack in camp if he was allowed to be hit.

I was wrong.

Abuse is abuse. It is silly to break it into different forms then make comparisons on which devil possesses more evil. Same goes for murder, theft and rape in my opinion.

Hitting an adult woman is the same thing as hitting a defenseless child? Hmm. And stealing something to feed your family is the same as murdering someone for the joy of it? Hmm.

Abuse is Abuse no matter who the abuse is directed at. if I have to choose AP child abuse is not as bad as Hardy Domestic abuse. From what I read, it was more of parenting discipline gone too far (most of us got some form of spanking as a kid), or a baby mama exaggerating the truth to get back at AP, and AP is till under contract. Hardy was Convicted (and was later dismissed) and society (women's rights groups) think less of a woman beater. also Hardy is not under Contract and we can't afford to pay CAM, LUKE, HARDY, SHORT, Star, JOHNSON and HARDY and still have cap room to sign an OT or field a competitive team

I don't think it's even close. Let me preface by saying the obvious that I am anti domestic violence and there is no excuse for hitting a women, but I don't think the two crimes are close. In my eyes what adrian Peterson did isn't even in the same conversation as what Hardy and rice did. Hitting a defenseless child who cannot stand up for themself at all is as disgusting and low life as it gets.

Is it just me? Am I crazy? But isn't child abuse way worse than domestic abuse? Not downplaying domestic abuse at all but in my mind child abuse is way worse. Vikings brass are smart in not letting a player of AP's caliber walk. Hardy should be welcomed back here also.

In my opinion no. Any kind of abuse whether it is child or adult is the same. I don't understand why society wants to put all different abuse on different levels on for kids or adults. Abuse is abuse. It's all terrible and it happens. But putting it on different levels is stupid. But what the law does to AP is up to them and not up to us. Besides why are we talking about this. This is about football not abuse class.

Hardy allegedly threw what's her name on a bed full of guns, slammed a toilet lid on her arm while she was literally gold digging, and strangled her to the point where she believed she was going to die.

AP struck his child's rear with a switch multiple times.

While violence is worse? The violence experienced by the woman was worse because it came with the added fear of death. She felt as though she was about to die, and that terror is exceedingly excruciating. She made it clear that she wanted to die just to make the fear of death stop. That was a far worse experience than being beating by a switch. It's not close.

Dear Panther players reading this, don't strike your kids with anything. Talk to your kids. Don't hit your woman. Dump her.
