How do we address the secondary this offseason?

I can't either, but this is the coaching staff that took half a season to take Godfrey out.

Godfrey was released as soon as Benwikere got healthy. Who did you expect to play nickel? That staff is one of the top defensive staffs in the league for 3 years.

Godfrey started over Bene for a couple games.

Why even have him in the roster?

Why release him?

Why did Colin Jones not start when Bene was hurt?

I like Searcy, guys a good SS to pair with Boston over in the FS spot.

There probably will be a couple of good CB's in our range in the 2nd. Have seen a lot of Mocks have Alex Carter and Darby in our range in the 2nd right now.

I really like Searcy too.  He can fill both safety spots which is a nice piece to have.  Boston has similar qualities and factor in Harper filling in as well, he could be a really good one to go after.  He came into his own last season in Buffalo.

Word is the Bills may really want him back.  They had an interesting defensive backfield working very well with Aaron Williams, Searcy, and Duke Williams.  Not to mention scooping up Rambo who ended up filling in well.

My pipe-dream scenario:

CB: Jalen Collins (R1)-Josh Norman-Bene Benwikere

SS: Rahim Moore (FA)-Roman Harper-Colin Jones

FS: Tre Boston-Gerod Holliman (DS/NB tweener, R4 if he's there)

It's a lot of emphasis back there, but like I said it's a pipe dream.  Still have plenty of room though to draft/pick-up OTs, DLs, and WRs.

I was kinda upset to see Ron Parker was a former Panther but after someone posted his PFF stats I don't really want him because he was ranked in the very bottom.

Boston was okay but I don't know if he is starting material. In fact it's really to early to tell.

I have a feeling GMan will find another Mike Mitchell in free agency. Then we will draft a CB/S.

I'm also intrigued by the idea of Taylor Mays.  Would come pretty cheap.  Kids a top tier athlete and very physical.  Our staff is pretty good fit to coach him up.  Big Physical guy like Mays would be big facing TE's like Graham.  Him paired with Boston, between Norman and a 2nd round Corner (Alex Carter or Darby) with Bene at Nickel.  Would look real good behind our front 7.

Why all the love with Taylor Mays? I know he was good in college but before this season he was a back up and special teams guy. He has speed but so does Colin Jones so what makes Mays different?

I haven't seen his stats this season so maybe someone has some pff stats to post that would change my opinion of him.

Godfrey had 1 start.

Because Jones needed to learn the position as he had not played it before.

When rookies or inexperienced players look good when given time ay the end of the season? Why do people assume they were ready to play from the get go. The staff puts in good work to coach these guys up but fans just ignore that aspect.

Why not sign someone else then?
