Imo,another move happens, and it may be bigger and better than the Mo Williams deal.

Check hoops hype rumor page... Afflalo, Dragic, Reggie Jackson, just to name a few.

Regarding Dragic, apparently after telling the Suns that he would not be re-signing with them,he also submitted a list of 7 preferred destinations he would like to be traded to. Only three have been rumored - NYK, MIA, AND LAL. I have to wonder if we're one of the other four teams, considering he signed an offer sheet here two years ago IIRC.

EXCITING TIMES...

Yeah, I was just trying to be bold, and it would be exciting to see us pull a trade for one of those big names and have Cho rob another team blind in the process, but at the same time, we already pulled off an incredible deal in acquiring Mo. It's entirely possible we do nothing.

Fwiw, Bonnell is saying that he's hearing Lance will more than likely still be a Hornet after the deadline and there isn't much movement going on for us.

But, I would just like to get something back for Lance, because he just won't work here.... Or who knows, maybe moving Neal will end up doing wonders for him if we keep him.

Idk, the closer we get to the deadline, I have a feeling that the Brooklyn deal might pick up some steam. They have a player out in the media saying he wants him and Lance has already come out and expressed his desire to go there. It seems like they were the only team that really entertained the idea, so I'm hoping they revisit it.

At this point, I would suffer through the two years of Joe Johnson's deal if it means getting Lance off this team.

I believe the front office sees the target to become serious contenders as 2016, when the new TV deal cap is implemented and right around the time a certain point guard could be available. Until then, it's about the growth of a very young team and trying to get them some playoff experience as that offseason draws closer. To that end, they've supplemented the roster with veteran role players to help that young core of talent and try to keep the cohesion that made them a surprise last season.

Obviously they wanted to try and steal Lance from the Pacers because of his age and contract in hopes that he could grow with that young core, but he's been nothing but a detriment to the team. The roster has enough youth on it to "rent" Joe Johnson for the remainder of his contract without having to give up any major young pieces, and, by giving Billy King one of the few outs he has from the Nets cap hell, Cho could use that leverage to find another Troy Daniels (if the Nets had any young assets to begin with.)
