DJ Humphries - OT Florida Gators

Recommended Posts

Car chuck, I wouldn't pull ANY stock in charles davis mocks. Not saying hump isn't rising, but top ten? That's a nasa rocket up his arse. Not weeks ago hump was around 300th ranked player on lots of broads and others around 100th ranked. Daniel was the solo dj drum man, beating him as a first rounder.

NFL.com :

"D.J. Humphries can be starting left tackle from Day 1... Florida's D.J. Humphries..is beginning to gain buzz as the best [OT] prospect [in the draft]... "He has a chance to be a starting left tackle, Day 1, at the next level," NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah said on NFL Network's "Path to the Draft." "I don't know if I can say that about any other offensive lineman in this class. It's very deep, but (Humphries) has the best feet of the bunch...[he] should go off the board in the top 15 picks."

according to Tony Pauline, he is already over 300 pounds. he is from Charlotte as well, went to Mallard Creek High School. he is very athletic and has a very clean kick slide. one thing i noticed that florida did, was have him block down a lot, on both runs and passing plays. why not allow your best pass protector go against the opposing teams best defensive lineman?

Only in the nfl is getting to over 300 pounds viewed as a positive lol

I really don't know. How many thought Ja' Wuan James  was going in the top 20 last year. hard to say.

I actually really liked James last year and thought he could go in the 1st. If he was still there I think the Panthers would have taken him over KB. Gettleman alludes to it in his presser during the portion where he talks about what he thinks of the tackles in this draft. He says that they liked a guy last year in the 1st that played RT but they thought could slide over to left, and he did with the team that drafted him.
