Should Carolina Draft Plan B?

When you have a young franchise QB, there is no Plan B.  Those guys don't grow on trees.  When you find one, you hang onto him.

 

How many true franchise QBs end up leaving their initial team in the prime of their career in free agency?  Or hell, even by trade.  Don't worry, I'll wait.

 

I can think of Favre getting traded by Atlanta, but he wasn't in his prime.  He was a completely unproven 2nd year player when he was traded and he was traded for a 1st rounder.  Huge mistake in hindsight, but completely understandable at the time.  Cutler was traded for a king's ransom and he's been a borderline disaster for Chicago.  Damn good call on Denver's part on that one.

Well Brees and Warner, but they were both let go because of injuries so it's kind of different.
