The ice storm in early 2003 was when my oldest son was only a few months old. Nobody within 20 miles of me had electricity or heat. Somehow my sister's neighborhood was spared, so we had to stay there for almost a week.

 

holy fug how was that 12 fuging years ago? i remember going out with a chainsaw and clearing the back roads leading to my house, only to turn around at the end and find that a dozen more had fallen while we were cutting.

It felt hotter. I really wish it were snowing or at the least raining. This weather sucks for winter.

The irony.... me, a California born and bred surf bum who moved to the east coast and didn't learn how to drive in ice and snow until I was 36, now spend a good amount of my time in this weather driving people around.... people who grew up with this poo weather.

Yahoo is calling for 27* and snow showers on Tuesday. Accuweather has nothing.
