Sensible, but market value is the problem. A guy like Torrey Smith has a $7-8MM price attached to him, but 3 of his 4 years have produced less than 850 yards or so, and each of those years he has split time with a competent TE and WR (Boldin, Smitty, Pitta)... you get the idea. This is where the concept of 'over-projecting comes in and why DG isn't going to overpay for 'potential performance'.

That said, I'd love to have Torrey at 6MM a year, but not 8 or 9.

I Keep thinking that David Gettleman had to have told Nicks  to go to the Colts last year and make a lil more money with them cause we did not have much to offer Nicks last year  and that we would have more to offer him this year

Maybe Gettleman picks up someone like Moore so he isn't forced to draft DGB when he's available at our pick.

I wouldn't even pay Moore 4-8 mil per year. His play so far does not command that type of money. I figured we could get him around 2 to 2.5 mil per year.

He doesn't have to be a 1000 yard receiver, just take some pressure off KB and Olsen, and make teams pay when they pressure the others.

One of my main points with Moore is that he can give you what Torrey Smith will give you at a substantial discount, and even more. In my opinion, he is adept at running the entire route tree, where Smith is more of a one trick pony. This would make us much more secure if KB would ever get hurt.

With KB, Olsen, Moore, and someone like Breshad Perriman or Nelson Agholor for example, Cam would have multiple weapons.

Think what you want about Moore. You can't deny that he is explosive. You can't deny the talent. I have heard  some experts call him a "tease". I have seen NFL.com refer to him as an "enigma". The kid has untapped potential, and would be a perfect bargain WR for this team. Proehl can unlock the "whip ass" in this kid.

Yeah ive wanted him since his rookie season. The raiders are idiots and didnt know how to use him... im all for this bargain signing, i just hope it doesnt end up like the long-desired Rod Gardner signing lol.
