FO on ESPN: CAR should sign Michael Crabtree

I'll take him for the right price (not more than 3 mil per season for 3 years max and only 4 mil guaranteed), but I'd rather have Moore and Britt.

I'm on board for 2.5 mil and we cut Bersin, Cotchety the next day... There is no need to have thar many slow WR on a roster..

I would be down for that because Crabtree gets better separation than either of those guys, is younger than J-Co, and has a higher career YAC average than either one of them as well.

IF we can get Crab at a good price, no way GMan doesn't sign him. (assuming his attitude is good)

He is a good WR#2 who runs good routes and has great hands. Would be a nice fit next to KB and Olsen. Doesn't stop us from getting a speed guy in the draft.

Don't see how people can say he's mediocre. Simply placing stats with 0 context doesn't really give any meaning.

I loved Crabtree in college but he's been pretty average/mediocre in the NFL. He's a household name because of how good he was in college, not the NFL. That's why people overrate him. Gettleman won't do that. Also, Crabtree will get overpaid because he's a household name. Gettleman won't do that, either. He was #2 on the 49ers in receiving yards last year, but his performance was rated bottom 6 of all Free Agent WRs by PFF:
