Glad we are not in the top 10

???? Not sure what you mean hear. Rivers was getting demolished a couple of years ago. King Dunlap legit stepped up his game te past two years and anchored an offensive lie that was in dire need of a blind side protector.

He's by no means an elite LT just a solid one that would definitely upgrade our line and and give us a much needed pass blocker and depth at OT.

lol only shula could truly be called the anchor of an "offensive lie"

Ill take a division championship and playoff win.

No, no. Don't get me wrong. I wasn't saying "I wish we didn't win out. I'm glad we did. Team needed it.

I this was in reply to the op and the thread title, suggesting there's no top 10 talent in the draft at positions we need.

I have been saying for a good while now that nobody stands out in this draft.

Don't think there is a soul that can start at LT from this draft class, everyone has a question mark.

Look for people wanting to trade down.

Finally found someone who agrees with me.

The "tah get" shopping will be important for us

I think you are right.  About the LT comment---could not agree more.  In the past 2 NFL drafts, there were 10 OTs picked between picks 1 and 19 overall.  How many finished the 2014 season at LT, playing well (not due to injury, but because they deserved to be an NFL LT)?  2--Lewan and James. Many were guards, RTs, etc. In addition to this, I don't see a ton of difference between the first and the tenth rated OT.  Because the college offenses are so different, finding a good LT is almost as hard as finding a good QB.

I think people need to get over the idea of drafting a LT prospect without question marks. The ones who fit everybody's dreams go in the top 10, and even the ones who people think project better as RTs or whatever sometimes go in the top 10. There would only be like 5 LTs in the whole league by some huddlers' standards.

I would add that the top 10 LTs have disappointed recently. We have to look at it this way---are we upgrading with a player who has upside?

I think it is funny that people are saying, "We need a veteran LT and we need to draft one."  Where are we getting this starting LT who can hold down the fort until the rookie is ready?  Looks good on paper, but hard to do.

We will draft a T.  Remmers could be moved to LT, his natural position due to body type, and we could go after RT--I dunno.  Chandler sucked because he was getting bull rushed, but if he worked on his technique and strength, he is less-likely to get bull rushed on the left side.  Don't laugh, he has some basic abilty, just raw.  There are options, and some aren't pretty.
