will place this in here as well.

It's better to put stuff Iike this in this forum imo where it's actually appreciated. I much rather just post in this forum, we got a solid group in here and we all just keep it actual football talk year round.

With that said, I love Perriman and he's been my favorite at 25 for some time now. He's smooth, explosive, strong and physical. I think he leap frogs Parker if the Vikes don't take Parker for Bridgewater

Man I watched two of this kids cut ups on DraftBreakdown...if he even had a halfway decent QB his last season he would have put up monster numbers. The quarterback must have missed several TDs during the NC State game alone. Perriman seems like the perfect WR for Cam's arm. Quickly eats up cushion and explodes downfield. Cam's deep ball would do him wonders.

You can check out Bortles' cut ups as well to see more of him.

I know I asked you to convince me of Jaelen before but do you like Perriman more now?

the main thread is very light on actual game play, and X&O's. that is odd considering this is a football message board.

most of those guys just want to banter back and forth, and the owner does as well. i wanted to do more breakdowns like this on prospects, especially ones the panthers have shown some interest in, but with the way this site has been lately, i think it would be a waste of time.

Perriman has been on my short list of guys I've wanted at 25 for a while now. I had him there even before the pro day massacre yesterday. I guess if I had to choose right now I'd take Perriman because he fits more of what this offense needs right now and has a much higher upside despite being more of a boom/bust prospect than Strong is. I think Strong is a safer prospect that will carve out a great career but may never be consistently dominant. I think either one paired with Kelvin makes for a great receiving corps. Perriman just has the rare combination of size and speed to take the top off of a defense and that's something we have never really had in Charlotte. People dog his route running and hands but Kelvin had the same problems coming out of FSU and still had 1,000 yards and almost 10 touchdowns despite dropping his fair share of balls as a rookie. The two together would be frustrating but the big plays would make up for it in my eyes. Olsen is ultra-dependable and if we brought in Jennings I'm on the Perriman wagon even more so. I have a feeling he will be on the board at 25.

Totally agree. I haven't been here very long but there isn't very much football that actually gets discussed in the main forum. It's basically one big dick measuring contest day in and day out about random crap. That's why I'd rather put my mock or whatever in this forum. But yeah, definitely appreciate your write ups, it's obvious you know what you're talking about.

Yeah I've said the same thing about a KB/BP combo but the upside is just too great to ignore. Both are big time playmakers that you'd be willing to take the good with the bad.

Strong just doesn't possess the quick twitch ability that you need to win on the outside. Strong isn't 6'5" like KB or does he play with much strength (ive seen him get knocked of routes pretty easy) so he needs to be able to create separation with speed and he just doesn't have it. I do think Strong will have a decent career because like you said he's somewhat of a safe pick but nothing special like Perriman has the upside to have.

I'd love to grab Perriman and Tre McBride this draft, we'd be set for years. Would also gladly take Devin Smith but I'm not sure we'll ever be in a position to take him

Greg Gabriel, who was a scout for Giants 1985-2001 before spending 9 years as Director of College Scouting for the Bears (2002-2010):

on Breshad Perriman:

"When I first put on tape of Perriman, the first NFL receiver I thought of was Dez Bryant. ... While I understand he has to become a more consistent route runner and also improve his concentration, he, like the others on this list, has unlimited upside. It wouldn’t shock me if in three years he is just as good, if not better than the four above him. This player has amazing natural talent."
