Breshad Perriman is Martavis Bryant. One probably got drafted

too low. The other will probably get drafted too high.

note:

Bryant went 4th R last year then averaged 54.9 receiving ypg for the Steelers, 21.1 yards per reception, and had a whopping 8 receiving TDs on only 48 targets (he caught 26 of the balls thrown his way). Then, in the Steelers' playoff game he had 9 targets, 5 catches for 61 yards, 1 TD

Still a little skeptical about him.  No doubt a guy that size with that speed you have to consider him.

But still

1. the guy hasn't faced the competition some of these other guys go up weekly.  Its real easy for someone with that athletic ability to dominate DB's from ECU, USF, Tulane, SMU, Temple, Tulsa, Houston, etc.  Perriman did go against NC State but only pulled in 6 more yards than Parker did against them and that was Parkers first game of the Season coming off a Injury.  Perriman is going to face top tier athlete guys weekly in the NFL so he's not going to just be able to use his raw athletic ability to dominate.

2. Dropsies.  The guy had an eye whopping 12.96 drop rate which is not that good.  We already have a guy guy on our  roster who was a Raw athlete with questionable hands who jumped up the draft boards (Stephen Hill) and look how he's done in the league.

I'd still take him in the First round but I still have Parker over him.

So nowwwwwww everyone wants Perriman...

He jumped Parker for me a long time ago.

explodes off the LOS, and eats cushions up with ease. has quick feet, to help when releasing off the LOS, and  will blow the top off a defense. forces coverage towards his way with deep speed. can also win running the short and intermediate routes, and shows decent YAC ability once catching the ball. has improved every season stat wise, while also becoming a better route runner. sinks his hips when running routes, and can maintain good speed put of his breaks. will gain separation with speed, and body.

Told y'all. i said it some where else, he looks like a poor man's Julio Jones.

49ers blog Niners Nation:

"Earlier today, our man Nick Chiamardas said that if Perriman ran a 40 in the 4.4-4.5 range, he could work his way into the back end of the first round. It's safe to say his sub-4.3 40 is going to have tongs wagging. We have another month of mock drafts, and as soon as today or tomorrow, I'm sure we'll start to see Perriman listed higher and higher.

...

I suspect we will hear a whole lot about Perriman over the next four weeks. He was not able to show off at the Combine, so coming out and putting up that kind of time will have media and fans all sorts of excited."

NFL.com Albert Breer @ AlbertBreer:

1h

Just got an unsolicited text from an exec: "Perriman ran really,

really, really fast." That's Breshad, WR from UCF. Scouts

buzzing on him.

1h

Clubs had Breshad Perriman running BOTH his 40s in the 4.2s,

which is incredibly rare for a player who's 6-foot-2 and 212

pounds.

[in reply to: "How often would an exec/scout use not one, not two, but THREE really's?"]

Not often.
